The Lethbridge Frito Lay Canada Plant has an opening for Temporary Packaging Technicians, on a 6-month contract.

Compensation: $24.64 per hour
Shift Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7am-7pm OR Friday, Saturday, Sunday Nights 7pm-7am

Responsibilities

• Packaging of finished goods into cartons.
• Tote constructions and facilitating tote packaging.
• Facilitating DPI production and managing the systems to run DPI line.
• Supporting Multipack production, stocking production line with finished goods.
• Coffee relief for various locations in the plant (ACE, Multipack, DPI, Packaging room).
• Ensure optimal quality of all products being handled in the packaging room and sent to the warehouse.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping and ensure compliance to all AIB and Food Safety requirements. Actively participate in the site’s PSM program.
• Assist with machine and line changeovers as required.
• Work effectively with the PMO/Facilitator to maximize machine and labor efficiency.
• Observe Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Support end of week sanitization duties and MSS responsibilities as required.
• Support PMOs and process operators as necessary, to optimize the line and ensure top machine efficiency.
• May be required to cover other shifts with appropriate notice.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is an asset.
• Good communicator, orally and written.
• High degree of organization skills and attention to detail.
• Takes initiative, self-starter, quick learner, willing to learn new skills.
• High level of skill in working as a team player.
• Open minded, works well under pressure, good at problem solving.
• Heavy lifting required.
• Ability to follow the product schedule.
