Overview

The Industrial Electrician contributes to the success of Frito Lay Canada by performing exceptional maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment, implementing long-term solutions to reoccurring reliability issues, and enabling our predictive and preventative maintenance programs to support in the production of snack food products enjoyed by our communities.

Compensation: $46.16/hour starting wage

Sign On Bonus Eligible

Shifts: 12 hours shifts, 7:00-7:00, rotating 4 on 4 off through dayshift and nightshift

Responsibilities

  1. Maintenance of site equipment.
  2. Completion of preventative and predictive maintenance inspections and electrical and/or mechanical repairs for all equipment within area of responsibility.
  3. Execute daily assigned work orders and accurately account for parts utilization.
  4. Manage emergency breakdowns.
  5. Support in root cause analysis and prevention of future downtime events.
  6. Work collaboratively with operators and other classifications across the site to reduce downtime, safety, and quality risks.

Qualifications

  1. Certified Journeyman Electrician (Alberta or Red Seal) or 4th year apprentice; certified Power Engineer would be an asset.
  2. Experience maintaining industrial equipment in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Experience with predictive maintenance, instrumentation, PLCs, and/or VFDs would be an asset.
  4. Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  5. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  6. Able to prioritize multiple important tasks.
  7. Able to lift >50 lbs, walk stairways, bend and twist, and stand up to 12 hours per day.
