South Shore Waldorf School Seeking French Teacher 2024/25
The South Shore Waldorf School is seeking a French teacher for grades one through eight. The ideal candidate is fluent in French and has familiarity with Waldorf education and experience and/or training in grade school settings, with a background in Waldorf Teacher Training.
We are looking for someone who is hard-working, has a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and possesses storytelling and singing skills. The perfect candidate works with purpose and enthusiasm and is looking to grow with our school and community.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
This is coverage for a long term leave of absence for the duration of this school year. The position is to teach French and assist with recess yard duty between the hours 11:00am-3:00pm Monday-Thursday, with the possibility of renewal the following school year. All new employees are subject to a 3 month probationary period. Salary is $18,000-$20,000 depending on qualifications and years of experience and is in the range of other Waldorf Schools in provinces that receive no government support.
Faculty receive partial tuition remission for all their children. Faculty members also receive a small health allowance and mentoring.
