The starting annual salary for this part-time School Teacher position ranges from $12,367.608 to $21,691.60, with placement on the July 1, 2024 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesThe French Language and Literacy support teacher provides language and literacy support to an elementary French Immersion school. The FLLST uses a collaborative approach with the classroom teacher and learning support services teacher to address the language and literacy needs of the gr. 1-5 students. The FLLST works alongside the classroom teacher to identify all students' language and literacy needs and determine identifying using research-based literacy instruction in the regular classroom. The FLLST collaborates with the classroom teacher to co-plan, co-teach, and model instructive practices. Where students may need additional tier 2 literacy support, the FLLST collaborates with teachers to help provide small group, targeted intervention.
