About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled carpenter with at least 5 years of proven experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with various carpentry materials and a solid understanding of carpentry techniques, installation, and construction methods. Proficiency in using both electrical and manual tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.) is essential. If you have a strong work ethic and attention to detail, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements
• Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
• Lay out flooring, roofing, or drywall ensuring they are leveled and compatible
• Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
• Cut, fabricate, and install wooden and other structures according to specifications
• Work in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products
• Contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting buildings and products

Requirements:

• Experienced framer with at least 5 years of framing experience
• Able to read plans and do wall, floor, and roof layouts
• Experienced with new construction and renovations
• Knowledge of the building code and the requirements of Part 9 structures
• Able to layout and cut stairs
• Experience with forms and foundation is an asset
• Experience in all aspects of residential construction (insulation, drywall, door and window installation, siding, etc.)
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.)
• Commitment to following safety guidelines
• Reliable and punctual with great hand dexterity and attention to detail
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
