Forward Deployed Engineer (FDSE)

Our client in Toronto is looking for a skilled Forward Deployed Software Engineer to join their well-funded venture (USD $8.5M raised), focused on tackling unique treasury, accounting, and asset management challenges. They have processed over $100B in transactions in the last year!

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers and users to identify, diagnose, and resolve clients' edge cases and requests, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement innovative product solutions by automating data processing, eliminating manual work, and streamlining operations.
• Build and handle complex datasets and prototypes, leveraging your expertise to resolve and automate data-related issues.

Requirements:

• Entrepreneurial spirit, with a genuine interest in Web3, Blockchain, and DeFi technologies.
• Mastery of web technologies and techniques, with hands-on experience in JavaScript (NodeJS, ReactJS), Typescript, Python, Retool, Docker, Postgres, and Excel.
• Familiarity with Go or Rust would be a plus.
• Additional experience with integrations into accounting & financial software, blockchain concepts, web3.js or ethers.js, and banking or financial APIs like Plaid, Stripe, Wyre, Marqeta, or Synapse is a plus.
• Strong systems thinking, ability to tackle ambiguous issues, and a drive to learn on-the-job.
• Excellent communication skills and motivation to make a significant customer impact.
• Experience handling large production data sets.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
