Forklift Operator / Warehouse

Our Belleville location is currently looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual for the position of Forklift Operator. The Forklift Operator prepares loads and unloads building materials in the warehouse through the safe operation of a lift truck. Together with other team members, the Forklift Operator works to exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform daily inspections of lift trucks and complete required forms
2. Ensure lift truck maintenance and servicing requirements are met
3. Build orders to required specifications for delivery
4. Load and unload building materials in a safe and efficient manner
5. Check load contents for accuracy and secure materials
6. Ensure that all products are shipped on schedule and according to specific instructions by management to meet customer demands
7. Maintain contact with supervisor(s) and work to resolve issues as they arise
8. Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
9. Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures
10. Other duties as assigned by management

Skills and Qualifications

1. Valid forklift certification (propane)
2. Minimum two years of experience
3. Effective written and oral communication skills
4. Knowledge of basic mathematics
5. Basic hand tool skills
6. Physical requirements include: Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, sitting and driving for long periods of time, frequently climbing up and down stairs, pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
