Location: Port Kells Warehouse
Type: Permanent
Hours of work: Monday to Friday; 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Reports to: Joint Treatment Manager
Position type: Hourly
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our team at CGC Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product in our warehouse. The Forklift Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse or production plant.
- Ensure accurate and timely picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
- Perform daily equipment checks and maintenance to ensure forklifts are in good working condition.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by properly documenting all movements of materials.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with other warehouse duties such as receiving, sorting, and storing products.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production and shipping deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or production environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately follow instructions and maintain precise records of inventory movements.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the operation of forklifts.
- Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage time to complete tasks within deadlines.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a warehouse or production plant setting.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and potential hazards.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
