Forklift Driver

YOUR ROLE
Responsible for manual loading and unloading of freight with the use of a pallet jack, hand truck, or forklift, general labor, and warehouse maintenance. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

1. Receive cargo from incoming trucks by removing it from the truck by hand or by using manual equipment such as hand truck or pallet jack, or by using a forklift.
2. Verify and note the count and condition of cargo received, knowing when to either refuse or accept with notation.
3. Record receipts to appropriate forms and/or log books.
4. Verify that proper documentation is attached.
5. Sort cargo received by account or intended location and store in the proper location.
6. Accurately label freight to destination.
7. Perform forklift duties and learn to containerize basic loads.
8. Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
9. Assist in various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, storing equipment, etc.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education and Experience:

1. High School Diploma or GED;
2. Minimum one to three years related experience.
3. Thorough knowledge and understanding of sea freight product/environment.
4. Forklift Driver Certification.

Skills:

1. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
