Forklift Counter Balance Operator

Job Title: Forklift Operator (Experience with Specialized Attachments)

Location: Oakville, Ontario

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Hourly Rate: $23/hour

Type: Temp-to-Perm

Fuze HR Solutions is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in Oakville. This position requires expertise with specialized forklift attachments and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Forklift Operation: Safely operate a Counter Balance forklift with one of the following attachments:
  • Forklift Rotator Attachment 180°
  • Box Clamp Attachment
  • Push and Pull Attachment
• Material Handling: Transport and organize various materials, including empty containers (beer cans, bottles, wine bottles, glass, and plastic).
• General Labor: Assist with tasks such as manual material handling, packing, and warehouse organization.
• Quality Control: Inspect materials for damages or discrepancies.
• Maintenance Checks: Conduct routine forklift maintenance checks and report any issues.
• Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain adherence to company policies.

Requirements

• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience operating a Counter Balance forklift.
  • Proven experience using at least one of the specialized forklift attachments mentioned above.
• Certifications:
  • Valid Counter Balance Forklift Certification.
• Language: Fluent in English.
• Safety Gear: Steel-toe safety shoes and a high-visibility vest are required.
• Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and performing manual tasks.
• Transportation: Must have own vehicle; location is not easily accessible by public transit.
• Environment: Scent-free workplace; compliance with cleanliness and SOP requirements (e.g., wearing a hairnet).

Additional Details

• Work Environment: Clean warehouse setting with occasional overtime, including weekends, as needed.
• Background Check: Required.
• Equipment: Must be proficient with both electric and propane Counter Balance forklifts.
