WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Forest Technician is responsible for forest development activities including reconnaissance road/cut block engineering, ecological and riparian assessments, and completing the associated plans, deliverables, and appraisal packages in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and professional manner. This is a field-based position that has the potential for out-of-town and camp work.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

1. A safety-conscious attitude;
2. Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in a relevant discipline, or 3 years of related field experience;
3. Broad understanding of general forestry practices;
4. Valid driver's license and safe driving record;
5. Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions;
6. Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment.
