What you'll do:

The Food Store Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of the Food Store with multiple product categories. Activities include providing day to day direction and guidance to Food Store Team Members and Team Leaders to ensure safe, effective operations and processes that align with the Values, Vision, Mission, and Brand of Heritage Co-op.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coaches Team Leaders providing day to day direction and guidance.
• Responsible for building strong customer relationships and delivering solutions.
• Responsible for the management, maintenance, and security of the store location and property.
• Manages growth of sales to improve profitability and makes recommendations and oversees store pricing, promotions, and products.
• Assigns sales objectives for each department and ensures store goals are met.
• Lead and support the Talent Management process for their respective Team Leaders.
• Oversees the activities of individual Food Team Leaders to ensure effective store operations.
• Prepare, administer, and achieve budgeted goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory of the commodity.

Who You Are:

• Post-secondary Diploma or Degree - related field preferred or equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
• 6+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of leadership experience in a retail food environment.
• Strong computer and technical background, including effective working skills of the Microsoft Suite and Outlook
• Ability to work independently or as part of a Team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
• Proven effective communication skills; both verbal and written
• You are available to work flexible hours, which will include days, evenings, and weekends.
