Position Summary

Food Service Worker | CVL FOOD SERVICES

Reports to: Manager (or designate)

About the Job

Food Service Worker

  1. Portioning and serving meals and beverages within a dining room and/or cafeteria operation.
  2. Counts, weighs and/or measures ingredients for assigned food preparation area.
  3. Washing and peeling vegetables and fruit.
  4. Assembles beverages and food items - tea, coffee, sandwiches, salads, bag lunches, items for Meals on Wheels program.
  5. Setting up and delivering meal carts.
  6. Cleaning of food service areas.

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 06:50 to 15:00, 10:17 to 18:27 hours.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience

  1. Grade 10, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  2. Food Safe Certificate.
