Location: 534 Union Street, Fredericton, NB E3A 3N2

Salary: $13.75 / hour

Job Requirements:

  1. Languages: English
  2. Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  3. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  4. Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  5. Work Setting: Urban area
  6. Personal Suitability: Client focus, Efficient interpersonal skills, Reliability, Team player
  7. Equipment and Machinery Experience: Electronic cash register
  8. Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses: First Aid Certificate, Food Safety Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate (Not applicable, Not required)

Tasks:

  1. Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
  2. Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
  3. Load buspans and trays
  4. Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
  5. Place dishes in storage area
  6. Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
  7. Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
  8. Scour pots and pans
  9. Keep records of the quantities of food used
  10. Package take-out food
  11. Portion and wrap foods
  12. Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
  13. Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
  14. Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  15. Take customers’ orders
  16. Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
  17. Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  18. Handle and store cleaning products
  19. Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  20. Remove kitchen garbage and trash
  21. Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
  22. Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
