Food Production Worker

Job Title: Food Production Worker
Available Shift: Mondays to Fridays, 7:00am-7:00pm
Rate of Pay: $18.10/hour
Location: Ahmerst, Nova Scotia

We are looking to hire General Labourers for our client's Production Department at their Bread Manufacturing facility in Ahmerst, NS. Candidates should have experience in general labour roles, packaging, and be comfortable lifting up to 30-50lbs while completing repetitive tasks. This position is full-time and offers long-term to permanent employment with a busy, well-known food manufacturing company!

Responsibilities:

1. Packaging bread products with attention to quality and presentation
2. Boxing finished products for shipment, ensuring secure and efficient packing
3. Operating machinery for product production, adhering to safety protocols
4. Lifting and moving boxes of various sizes, ensuring proper handling and storage
5. Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain product safety and quality
6. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, following hygiene and safety standards
7. Assisting with other general labor tasks as assigned to support overall production efficiency

Qualifications:

1. Previous general labour experience preferred
2. Previous experience in food manufacturing as an asset
3. Can comfortably lift 30-50lbs
4. CSA Certified Safety Shoes
5. Strong willingness to learn and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
