Food Processing Associate

‘Billy Boy’ Prodenchuk Produce is looking for a devoted and reliable individual looking to build a long-term career with our Prodenchuk’s family. We are a small, family owned business that has established lifelong relationships for over 70 years in Chatham-Kent. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, packaging, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. We are in need of 1 part-time (20-30hrs) per week ‘Food Processing Associate’.

Requirements/Responsibilities:

1. Must be able to lift 50lbs
2. Ability to be on your feet 8 hrs+
3. Knowledge of fruits & vegetables, storage of produce, and small-scale distribution.
4. Fast-paced work environment
5. Detail oriented & impeccable time management skills
6. Knowledge of food/produce processing
7. Ability to work independently and management of all orders
8. Experience with small-scale food processors/equipment
9. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
10. Operate machinery and equipment to process food products
11. Sanitate work areas and equipment according to food safety standards

Qualifications

1. Must pass a criminal record check
2. Food Handlers Certificate *an asset
3. Grade 12 Diploma

Wage range- Starting wage: $17.00 per hour
