Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, supervise, and lead banquet staff in the flawless execution of events at Hotel Arts, both onsite and at offsite locations
• Proactive in the planning and execution of assigned events
• Assist in scheduling and assigning banquet staff to ensure adequate event coverage
• Manage inventory of event equipment including linens, tableware, and beverages
• Ensure events are set up according to client contracts and Hotel Arts standards
• Oversee event operations, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction
• Ensure accurate posting of event bills and collaborate with accounting on billing accuracy
• Solicit client feedback to continuously improve event delivery
• Ensure compliance with health, service, and labor regulations
• Assist the Catering leadership team with additional business-related and administrative tasks
• Participate in onboarding and ongoing training of all banquet staff
• Coach and motivate team members to meet the vision of the banquet department to provide exceptional events
• Participate in the annual strategic plan for the department, striving to improve the services and amenities offered
  
  

• Valid ProServe Certificate required
• Class 5 Driver's License required
• Experience driving transport trucks and large passenger vans an asset
• Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional customer service and multitasking abilities
• Ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement
