Position Overview

We are looking for a Fitness Analyst for our Telus Garden location (Downtown Vancouver). The Fitness Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting health assessment data to inform personalized wellness recommendations. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team—including naturopathic doctors, medical doctors, clinical dieticians, paramedical service providers, and fitness trainers—to deliver evidence-based insights that support optimal health outcomes. The Fitness Analyst also plays a key role in developing team capabilities in health data analysis and interpretation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data from a range of health and wellness assessments, including:
  • Body Composition Analysis
  • Functional Movement Screens
  • Postural Assessments
  • Manual Muscle Testing
  • VO2 Testing
  • Resting Metabolic Rate Testing
  • Comprehensive Blood Biometrics
  • Health Oversight Data
  • Genetic Information
  • Gut Health Metrics
  • Compile assessment results into clear, actionable reports that inform personalized wellness strategies.
  • Develop, plan and coordinate fitness programs
  • Draft and produce members’ fitness plans
  • Collaborate with naturopathic doctors, medical doctors, clinical dieticians, paramedical professionals and fitness trainers to integrate insights across disciplines, optimizing care recommendations and improving client health outcomes.
  • Track individual progress by analyzing health metrics over time, adapting recommendations to ensure alignment with evolving health goals.
  • Mentor teammates in data collection and analysis methods, building competency in health assessments and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Lead internal workshops and training sessions to support team proficiency in health data interpretation and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in health analytics, assessment technologies, and interdisciplinary best practices to enhance data-driven wellness approaches
  • Ensure that fitness programs are conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Accredited university degree or college diploma degree in Health Sciences, Data Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in health assessment methods, data analytics, and reporting.
  • Experience with analytics tools and platforms for data visualization in health contexts.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience interpreting complex health data and making evidence-based recommendations.
  • Effective communication and mentorship abilities, with a focus on multidisciplinary teamwork.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in health assessment, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience working in collaboration with diverse health professionals, such as naturopaths, medical doctors, dieticians, or paramedical providers.
  • Familiarity with health metrics across varied populations, with a commitment to holistic, data-driven wellness strategies.

Work Environment

This role is part of a collaborative team dedicated to using health assessment data to drive wellness outcomes. The Fitness Analyst works alongside multidisciplinary professionals, fostering a holistic approach to client health through shared insights and evidence-based recommendations. Work is based indoors and requires in excess of 8 hours standing, lifting objects 5lb - 45lb, and is physically demanding.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly wage: $35 per hour
Contingency wage (per assessment - usually one or two a week based on clients’ interest): $35-$60
Terms of employment: permanent position, 30-40 hours per week
10 days vacation (15 after 5 years of employment)
Benefits: Employee group plan - health, dental, vision, paramedical.
