Finishing Technician

Overview

Brief Job Summary: The Finishing Technician in an interior signage manufacturing facility is responsible for the final stages of production, ensuring high-quality completion of signage products. Duties include trimming, assembling, sanding, painting, and applying finishes such as laminates or protective coatings. The role requires attention to detail, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to follow design specifications. The technician must maintain quality control standards, troubleshoot minor defects, and collaborate with production teams to meet deadlines. Experience in signage, carpentry, or related fields is beneficial.

The pay rate range for this position is $17 to $19 an hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

• Manage the receipt and tracking of Production orders assigned to them from floor Lead.
• Trimming large graphics.
• Masking plotted product.
• Packaging finished product to be shipped.
• Completing phases in ERP and taking completion photos.
• Light assembly.
• Remain organized and keep work area clean.
• Assist Quality Control team in identifying potential issues.
• Communicate with production control.
• Maintain flexibility in regards to work hours; additional hours may be needed during peak times.
