Finish Grader Operator

Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton and the surrounding area. We are currently looking to hire an EXPERIENCED FINISH GRADER OPERATORS for the 2025 construction season.

We require a successful candidate to:

1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Finish Grader Operator
2. Able to finish sub-grade stabilize, gravel and other surfaces within sub-centimeter tolerances in preparation for asphalt
3. Ability to work safely and always stay alert to surroundings
4. Able to cut grade against concrete, grade stakes, asphalt, and other jobsite structures
5. Experience with other construction equipment considered an asset
6. Ability to communicate with grade checker and act upon information received
7. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
8. Assist foremen with any issues or repairs required on assigned equipment
9. Assist crew with all other site activities as required
10. Physical strength, stamina, and coordination to complete assigned duties
11. Ability to withstand working outside on uneven ground for long periods of time and in varying weather conditions
12. Possess a valid clean Driver’s License (Class 5) and reliable transportation

Successful candidates must possess interpersonal skills necessary to take direction and coordinate their efforts with their crew and foremen, while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.

They will also be able to maintain a safety-minded and high accountability work culture when working with their direct supervisors and other employees.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37.00-$42.00 per hour
