Financial Planning Analyst - VIE Contract

  • Location: Canada, Toronto

  • Target start date: 01/08/2025

iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

As Financial Planning Analyst VIE in our Finance Vaccines R&D team, you’ll support monitoring & managing R&D financial performance and trajectory, driving finance planning and forecasting processes across R&D Vaccines, consolidating R&D Results and Risks & Opportunities, and contributing / driving transversal initiatives to improve R&D efficiency and promote simplification, harmonization and automation in R&D finance operating model.

You will be responsible for R&D Vaccines coordination: ensuring the planning of Budget, Forecasts and Actuals data for Headcount, Opex, Capex, and Costs by projects; adapting R&D Vaccines to Sanofi Finance core model and solutions and facilitating the implementation of new processes, tools and performance reports/dashboards, with an objective to improve efficiency, leverage, standardize, simplify and automatize.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure quality, reliability and timeliness of R&D Finance reporting, in line with Group policies; consolidate and validate R&D reporting; ensure reconciliations of financial information across various systems.
  • Drive R&D Budget and Forecasts processes: providing support to R&D Finance community, managing specific budget & forecast activities, fostering a continuous improvement mindset through surveys and finance community engagement.
  • Actively support the transformation to new ways of working, the Finance core model and the transition from R&D legacy tools to group solutions: providing overall R&D System support, project management & change management for new R&D finance processes and systems.
  • Coordinate R&D Finance Power BI initiative with the objective to provide, as a complement to Group Power BI reports and dashboards, a suite of consistent, automated, standardized reports for R&D.
  • Manage VR&D Internal costs, including headcounts/resources, ensure efficient interface between Resources Management & FinOps.
  • Coordinate the evolution of all processes with R&D departments: Planning / Projects.

About you

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Finance.

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Technical and soft skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Accounting and Finance topics.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solver and proven experience working collaboratively and effectively across multiple internal/external stakeholders.
  • Organized, proactive, curious and pragmatic.
  • Attention to detail, quality, ability to operate effectively under strict deadlines and to navigate uncertainty.

Languages:

  • Knowledge of English is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of French is a plus.
