Our reach spans to all spheres of sports and entertainment, from our offices in the Old Port of Montreal to Toronto and remotely around the world. You will develop financial strategies, forecast financial results, manage risks, and ensure the company complies with all regulatory requirements. Your role is pivotal in preparing financial reports, managing the company’s cash flow, and overseeing financial operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Additionally, you will play a key role in stakeholder relations, participate in strategic decisions, and lead the finance team, promoting professional development and strategic financial planning. Your insights and management are vital for guiding Dulceco’s financial policies and contributing to our overall success.

What you'll be expected to do:

Control of company accounting

  • Ensure financial controls are updated and applied.

Optimize financial performance

  • Work with the Corporate Controller and VP Finance to formulate strategies and plans to improve financial forecasting and support senior management decision-making.
  • Propose action plans to ensure annual financial targets are met.
  • Maintain an up-to-date dashboard and explain the evolution of key indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinate the budget process and update financial forecasts throughout the year for presentation to senior management.
  • Manage financial risks inherent in operations, including foreign exchange contracts, language compliance, banking agreements and insurance renewals.

Manage cash flow and approve expenses

  • Ensure compliance with cash management policies by all company departments. Where necessary, design and implement additional controls.

Produce reports and communicate financial results

  • Supervise the accounting department to ensure the quality of financial information and the application of internal controls.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate all operational functions related to finance and administration.
  • In conjunction with the Corporate Controller, analyze monthly financial statements, explain and present all budget variances to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies.
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Controller the year-end file for the auditors.
  • Grant programs: Follow up on documentation for periodic payment requests.
  • Improve business processes to optimize use of technological solutions, particularly accounting systems (Quickbooks and NetSuite). Assume all responsibilities related to the implementation of any new system.
  • On a monthly basis, analyze and communicate financial performance to senior management, explaining any variances from budgets.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is essential. (An MBA or master’s degree in finance or accounting is highly preferred.)
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are advantageous.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial management roles, with a proven track record in financial planning and strategy, accounting, and budget management.
  • Experience in leading and managing finance teams, including accountants, analysts, and other finance professionals.
  • Knowledge of the Influencer Management industry.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic financial plans that align with the company’s goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders and to lead a team.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, and a thorough understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Skills in identifying and managing financial risks.
  • Ability to adapt to changing financial landscapes and economic conditions.

What's in it for you:

  • At Dulcedo, we break the mold by offering Unlimited Vacation. Yep, you read that right. Allowing you to focus on making every day count rather than counting the days.
