Financial Analyst II

As a financial analyst II, you will participate in the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions to provide corporate leaders with insights into the organization’s results, to help drive informed decision making. You will work with finance methodologies and reporting/business intelligence tools, and leverage these skillsets to deliver effective reporting, accurate forecasts, and insightful analyses.

In this role, the successful candidate is needed to be in the greater Vancouver, BC area, where we practice a remote-first working model, leveraging in-person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do:

1. Prepare monthly internal financial reports to compare actuals to budget, forecast and prior year, and investigate the drivers of significant variances.
2. Build KPI reports to assist in tracking and monitoring the business results at a consolidated, business unit, channel, or location level, and create monthly presentations for senior Canadian and enterprise leadership.
3. Support the financial planning process by assisting with annual budgeting, quarterly long-range planning, and weekly forecasting.
4. Bring business meaning to financials by synthesizing financial data, and identifying variances and trends to provide insightful commentary.
5. Provide business stakeholders enhanced visibility into their respective areas to support decision making and new initiatives.
6. Contribute to overall finance team objectives by supporting ad-hoc projects as required.

What we’re looking for:

1. 2+ years of experience within an accounting or finance role.
2. Proven experience with Excel, financial analysis, and financial planning.
3. Experience with various BI tools such as MS SSAS (OLAP), SSRS, Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, TM1.
4. Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, accounting, economics, or related field.

Annualized base pay range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00. This role is overtime eligible.

Starting pay offered will consider skills and experience. Your pay can grow as you build your career with us.
