Summary:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Analyst will support the Corporate Office through the month end process, will provide accurate financial reports and analysis in a consistent and timely manner. This position works to improve understanding of key revenue and cost drivers to maximize results and works closely with the Senior Finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist preparing timely and accurate reporting of consolidated monthly financial results.
2. Responsible for preparation and posting of month end entries.
3. Manage project accounting and departmental adjustments.
4. Book and reconcile intercompany transactions.
5. Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
6. Prepare biweekly overtime analysis and reporting.
7. Collaborate with cross functional teams within Finance as well as branches globally to influence others with respect to obtaining required inputs and managing timelines.
8. Adapt, anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of the internal and external clients (including operational units) related to financial and operational activities.
9. Analyze monthly results to identify emerging trends, issues, cause and effect analysis as to contribute to strategic business decision.
10. Assist and prepare year end audit package and liaise with external auditors.

Requirements & Skills:

1. College Diploma or University Degree in Finance.
2. Working towards CPA or CPA designated.
3. 5+ years professional experience required as Financial Analyst.
4. 3+ years experience in vertically integrated manufacturing environment is required.
5. Above average analytical skills to identify key issues.
6. Strong interpersonal skills - verbal and written.
7. Highly motivated and ability to work independently.
8. Advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
9. Demonstrated ability in financial analysis and improve/structure business processes.
10. ERP knowledge and experience including implementation planning.
11. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX would be considered an asset.
