The Finance Process Automation Lead is responsible for the integrity of finance applications, providing technical expert guidance on finance applications, business processes and their implementation within technologies. In addition, the position provides leadership and guidance in the use of cross functional applications and technologies including the development of technical roadmaps to support Finance in its journey towards its future state (enterprise-wide, data-centric and integrated set of solutions).
You will play a crucial role in driving the automation of financial processes through advanced technologies, with a focus on improving efficiency, reducing manual effort, and supporting key financial reporting systems. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing robust automated solutions using UiPath RPA, Microsoft Power Apps, Python, and other cutting-edge tools to support financial operations and reporting. The candidate will ensure timely, accurate data management and provide hands-on support for critical automation initiatives.

What You Will Do:
- Apply sophisticated knowledge of Python, Microsoft Power Apps, or UiPath RPA to design, develop, and deploy robust automated solutions, ensuring these technologies are leveraged to their full potential in streamlining financial processes, reducing manual intervention, and improving operational efficiency. This role requires hands-on experience in implementing solutions, not just familiarity with the tools.
- Analyze, model, and structure datasets, ensuring scalability and data integrity for financial processes using advanced data modeling techniques.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and contribute to the development of technical solutions, playing a key role in the end-to-end development cycle.
- Integrate automation tools with existing financial systems and reporting platforms (such as Power BI) to enable seamless data flow and enhance the decision-making process.
- Apply financial engineering principles to optimize sophisticated financial models and ensure compatibility with automation frameworks.
- Work closely with partners to translate financial and business requirements into detailed technical specifications for automation and operational improvements.
- Implement technical documentation, version control, and code repositories to ensure scalable, maintainable, and reusable automation solutions.
- Stay current with emerging automation technologies, particularly in financial technology (FinTech), to ensure the company uses innovative solutions.
- Contribute to operational improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing automation or optimization strategies that align with the Enbridge business goals.
- Support the team in testing and deploying solutions, ensuring that the final product meets the necessary performance, scalability, and accuracy requirements.
Who You Are:
Required:
- Post-secondary degree (computer science or engineering)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills demonstrated by multiple implementations of IT solutions as well as experience with applications support / maintenance
- 4+ years of demonstrated ability in Finance applications management including other areas of the business
- Ability to work with a high degree of independence and initiative with an ability to handle multiple priorities
- Work optimally with others, analyze issues & tackle problems, support strategy, implement change, improve work practices, meet stakeholder needs
- Experience using AzureDB, SQL, PowerBI (PowerQuery, DAX), Python, Power Apps as well as UI Path experience considered an asset
Preferred:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in multiple phases of IT applications management including architecture, design, implementation, testing and support
- Prior experience working on technological roadmaps and strategic plans is a definite asset
- Accounting / Finance designation is a plus
- Any certifications in PowerBI, SQL, Python or RPA preferred.
- Prior knowledge of EGI Finance teams, processes, systems and needs is considered an asset
