Our client is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join their organization in Saint John, New Brunswick. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work alongside both the operational leadership teams and the Corporate Finance team, driving financial performance and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Divisional Director of Finance, this individual will collaborate closely with operational leadership teams and the corporate finance division to provide critical financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to improve business performance. This role will involve managing cash flow, working capital, and long-term debt, as well as driving key financial and operational initiatives to align with business objectives. The Finance Manager will be expected to lead financial forecasting efforts, analyze financial statements, and proactively identify trends that could impact the business, recommending corrective actions as needed. Additionally, the role includes managing the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing analytical support for capital projects and business initiatives.

The Finance Manager will be an integral part of the decision-making process, presenting financial findings and offering actionable recommendations to both operations and management teams. This role also requires strong relationship-building skills to collaborate with various stakeholders, solve business challenges, and drive continuous improvement within the business. As a champion of business objectives, the Finance Manager will lead initiatives and projects to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

As the successful candidate, you hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. A CPA and/or CFA designation (completed or in progress) is preferred. You have a minimum of four years of experience in accounting, finance, analytics, or continuous improvement. Preference will be given to candidates who have acquired this experience in transportation, logistics, or a related industry. Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential, along with the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. Advanced proficiency in Excel is required, and experience with TM1, PowerBI, Tableau, or other reporting and database tools is considered an asset.
