The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, overseeing monthly reconciliations, managing capital assets, and driving improvements in financial processes and procedures. Key Duties and Responsibilities:- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are promptly addressed.
- Record capital assets and manage related processes.
- Oversee and manage prepaid expenses to ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Regularly monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities, including preparing general journal entries.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and train finance team members to ensure high performance and skill development.
- Foster a positive work culture focused on quality, continuous improvement, and employee retention.
- Identify training needs for the finance team and recommend opportunities for professional development.
- Recommend updates to financial processes and procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall financial operations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the leadership team regarding finance policies, procedures, and inquiries.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure the implementation of best practices in financial operations.
- Provide ongoing support to the finance team in day-to-day responsibilities and task management.
- Assist with special financial projects as needed and contribute to the overall success of the finance department.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Assistant Controller or CFO.
Qualifications:- Three or four-year undergraduate or master's degree in accounting or business.
- Must have passed the CPA exam and be awaiting designation, or already hold a CPA designation.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or finance, additional experience in a supervisory or managerial role is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insights.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
Hours: Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm
Rate of Pay: $78,000 - $82,000/year
