Are you a passionate and mission-driven finance professional looking to make a meaningful impact? Guelph Community Health Centre is seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. As a nonprofit organization committed to a community without barriers to health and wellbeing for our priority populations, we rely on strategic financial leadership to ensure our resources are maximized in support of our mission. In this role, you will manage and oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while aligning our financial practices with our core values. Core Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting functions within the organization in a multi-funder environment
  2. Work with the Leadership Team and other finance colleagues to continuously monitor, problem solve and improve the effectiveness of financial functions
  3. Ensure accuracy, completion and timely follow-up for all financial documentation and reports required internally and externally
  4. Prepare and oversee monthly financial reporting and analysis, budget reviews, forecasting, reconciliation and cash flows
  5. Build and monitor annual operational and capital budgets
  6. Supervise and mentor Finance Team
  7. Attend Board and Finance Committee meetings to present financial results
  8. Oversee funding requirements and insurance contracts
  9. Review and audit of semi-monthly payroll and related vendors (WSIB, EHT, etc)
  10. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all relevant partners/stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  1. University Degree and accounting designation from the Canadian Institute of CPAs or an internationally recognized accounting body
  2. 3-5 progressive years experience leading and managing a team
  3. 2-3 years experience within a similar department or community-based organization
  4. Ability to ensure and develop strong financial processes
  5. Ability to set goals and get results within a set timeline
  6. Ability to multitask and work independently
  7. Effective written and oral communication skills
  8. Effective time management, decision making and organizational skills
  9. A good team member and supportive of interdisciplinary practice.
  10. High level of confidentiality
  11. Flexible towards change
