Strathcona Regional District is currently recruiting for a full-time Finance Manager. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategies of the Strathcona Regional District. This role is focused on providing responsive and comprehensive financial services management, leading special projects, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting. The Finance Manager ensures compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and the Regional District’s policies and bylaws. This position requires the ability to communicate with the public, government staff, and elected officials, and may be required to report to the Regional Board on financial matters.

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Recognized Canadian accounting designation (CPA), or an assessable equivalent of education, training and experience
2. Minimum seven years of senior general accounting experience, preferably in a local government finance environment
3. Minimum five years supervisory experience

The position is full-time, 35 hours a week onsite, with an annual salary range from $102,055 to $117,291 and a generous and comprehensive benefit package.
