Finance Director

Reporting to the Managing Director of MOWI Canada West, and with an ongoing relationship with MOWI's corporate head office in Norway, the Finance Director is a key member of the Senior Management team. The successful candidate will have full oversight of the finance function, as well as information technology and procurement.

The Director is accountable for ensuring the effective formulation and implementation of the financial strategy of the Business Unit, in line with the overall Business Unit strategy and Corporate guidelines, ensuring Mowi complies with all Corporate and local requirements in accounting, financial reporting and taxes.

2. Budget and Financial Control, Financial Administration, Treasury
3. Payroll, Tax Management, Purchasing and Information Technology

Experience and Education:

The ideal candidate will be a results-driven, assertive financial professional with superior analytical skills and significant experience at a senior management level within a fast-paced operations environment. A proven background in building a full-service finance and administration team and the ability to provide sound management advice to senior managers and guide the business decisions of the organization are paramount.

Other Desired Attributes Include:

1. Accounting designation (CPA) and a related business degree (i.e. MBA or BComm).
2. 10 plus years of professional experience in a senior financial management role in medium to large production or manufacturing organization.
3. Preference will be given to those candidates with direct aquaculture finance experience.
4. Experience working for an international, publicly traded company is a definite asset.

Salary Range: $180,000 - $215,000
