Finance and Payroll Administrator
Job Type: Permanent, full-time, with benefits
Salary: Starting at $70,000 to $75,000 per year

Your Role:
As a Finance and Payroll Administrator, you will support the Financial Controller in all manner of financial operations. From assisting in accounting functions to processing payroll, this role will be varied and interesting and provide you with the opportunity to let your finance and payroll skills shine!
Your Responsibilities:
- Finance
- Accounting operations including billing, specifically invoicing, AR, AR management and reconciliation and Revenue Recognition.
- Maintaining an accurate record of financial transactions and ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Posting and accepting payments via credit cards and answering any inquiries regarding the members’ accounts.
- General financial support including reviewing and processing employee expense claims, preparing, posting and issuing cheques, processing and posting receivables and deposits, and preparation of bank reconciliations.
- Assisting the Financial Controller with annual budget and cash flow forecasting.
- Supporting the CCTS quarterly billing process by ensuring that service provider contact information is up-to-date, invoicing data is accurate. Creating statements of account, sending out invoice packages, recording receipts and ensuring all related information is well tracked and accurate.
- Supporting the Finance Controller in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensuring all related activities are performed in compliance with generally-accepted accounting principles.
- Supporting the Financial Controller with other tasks as required.
- Payroll
- Accurately entering employee and Board Member payroll information in accordance with all current legislative requirements.
- Gathering and completing bi-weekly payroll information for review and submission through Humi; preparing all information for payment of government remittances (EHT, WSIB) and garnishments and maintaining accurate file for payroll adjustments and calculations.
- Processing employee group RSP program on the payroll and responding to inquiries regarding any changes to their contribution.
- Maintaining files and records in written and electronic formats for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
- Preparing and processing Records of Employment and T4’s.
- Reconciling payroll, benefits and group RSP program and analyzing and resolving any discrepancies.
- Responding to employee questions regarding payroll.
You should apply if:
- You have a minimum of 1 year experience in a financial support role and with minimum of 3 years experience in payroll administration.
- You have post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting and/or Payroll or a related area.
- You are proficient in Sage, QuickBooks and Simply Accounting.
- You have experience with data and bookkeeping.
- It’s not your first Payroll rodeo, you have experience with Ceridian, ADP or other payroll providers such as Humi or BambooHR.
- Your Word and PowerPoint skills are great, but your Excel skills are even better. We are looking for an individual with advanced Excel skills.
- You are fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Bilingual? Even better! French/English bilingualism is an asset.
- Speaking of assets, PCP Certification (or working towards) or membership to The Canadian Payroll Association are both considerable assets for this role.
