Part-Time Accounting Clerk

Are you looking for a flexible part-time role in accounting with growth potential? We are seeking a Part-Time Accounting Clerk to assist our team with billing and bank reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle accurate and timely billing processes
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end reconciliations (experience in these areas is an asset)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of accounting experience; accounting designation an asset but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • High analytical skills and knowledge of sophisticated computer applications
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel
  • Customer service oriented with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solver and results-oriented collaborator who commits to “getting the job done.”
  • Knowledge of Spectrum, Aspire, QuickBooks, Sage Accounting, or Yeti considered an asset

What We Offer:

  • Flexible hours: 16-20 hours per week
    • Schedule is flexible as long as work is conducted during business hours of 8-4:30. Consistency is required.
  • Potential for growth within the accounting division

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires time sitting using a computer while also being able to stand/walk for stretches of time. Bending, twisting, and lifting more than 50lbs is required on occasion. Individuals should be in average physical condition to complete the requirements of the position.

Work Environment:

  • This position requires the individual to work in an indoor setting (office environment). This role can be hybrid at the sole discretion of the Financial Management Team.

Compensation Information:

  • Starting base wage of $22-25/hr based on experience.
  • Discretionary bonus based on the Company’s performance and your completion of goals
    • Available after 1 year of employment.
  • 4% vacation pay added to every cheque
  • Extended Health Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision) at 90 Days
  • RRSP Enrollment at 365 Days (Matching level: Hourly)
  • Kilometre reimbursement for personal vehicle usage
  • Tech package of laptop computer
