We're looking for a Film & Video Production Specialist to join our dynamic team and will work directly with the Video Content Strategy Manager and Senior Director, Creative and Design to support and execute video content production across a range of formats. This role focuses on the hands-on work of filming, editing, and finalizing video content. The ideal candidate will be highly creative with technical expertise in video production and editing, ensuring that high-quality videos are delivered to meet both business and creative objectives. This individual will work closely with the production team to bring the brand’s vision to life, focusing on delivering engaging and polished videos for social media platforms and blogs.
Responsibilities
- Video Production & Filming: Actively participate in video shoots, including setting up equipment, assisting with lighting and sound, and capturing footage. Support the shoot by ensuring everything runs smoothly, from camera operation to ensuring proper staging.
- Video Editing & Post-Production: Edit video content for social media, ensuring each video is optimized for the platform (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and blog posts). This includes cutting, arranging clips, audio editing, color grading, and incorporating motion graphics or basic visual effects.
- Collaboration with Creative Teams: Work alongside the Film and Video Production Manager and Creative Director to ensure that all video content aligns with the brand's creative vision and goals.
- Content Formatting for Multiple Platforms: Format and adjust videos to ensure proper aspect ratios, resolutions, and other technical specifications for each platform, ensuring videos are optimized for maximum impact.
- Production Support: Assist with the logistical coordination of video shoots, including sourcing equipment, managing shoot timelines, and assisting in preparing locations and talent.
- Video Quality Control: Ensure high-quality editing and finalize videos, checking for technical accuracy and ensuring alignment with the creative brief before sending for approval.
- Asset Management: Organize and store video assets (raw footage, project files) in a structured way to ensure easy access during post-production or future video projects.
- Creative Input & Innovation: Contribute creative ideas to the production process and stay updated on trends in video production to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of content.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2 years of experience in video production and editing with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Proficiency with video editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro).
- Experience with video production equipment including cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
- Strong creative and technical skills in video storytelling and post-production.
- Understanding of social media video formats and the ability to optimize content for different platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to take direction and follow creative briefs to produce high-quality video content.
