We're searching for a skilled Production Print Field Service Technician to become a vital part of our innovative team. Responsibilities

  1. Perform on-site maintenance and repairs for production print equipment.
  2. Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize production downtime.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and implement preventive maintenance procedures.
  4. Install, configure, and calibrate production print machinery for optimal performance.
  5. Collaborate closely with clients, delivering outstanding customer service and support.
  6. Maintain parts and call management as well as accurate records to achieve KPI targets.
  7. Learn new technologies and assist other team members as required.
  8. Lead referrals, assist with customer assessments and solution design (10%).
  9. Break-fix and customer support (90%).
  10. Seek opportunities to improve territory parts budget and inventory control.
  11. Perform other relevant duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  1. Demonstrated experience in servicing and repairing production print machinery.
  2. Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting within a production print environment.
  3. Familiarity with a variety of production print technologies and systems.
  4. Exceptional communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
  5. Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse client environments.
  6. Network Skills: Install and troubleshoot basic printing and scanning solutions, Microsoft OS peer to peer and client side of server environments, familiar with printing from common business apps.
  7. Solutions Knowledge: Basic understanding of solutions portfolio.
  8. Product Knowledge: Excellent working knowledge and certification of production systems.
  9. Color Skills: Working knowledge of calibration and RIP configurations.
  10. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  11. Mentoring and Instruction: 10% based on technical expertise.
  12. Pre/Post Consulting Ability: Moderate.
  13. Working directions: Requires limited assistance for more difficult problems.

Must be positive, outgoing, self-motivated and committed to building and maintaining strong customer relations. Traveling within Canada is required. Candidate must provide and maintain valid travel documents at own expense. Own vehicle and possess valid insurance with appropriate coverage and a valid driver’s license in good standing. Standby and afterhours work may be required. Training may require afterhours travel and stay overs including weekends. Perform other relevant duties as assigned by management.
