About the role

Due to continuing growth, we’re adding another position in our Equipment Service Team.In this role, you will provide technical support/service to customers during the complete life cycle of the equipment.We welcome applicants who are eager to apply and expand their electro-mechanical skills paired with an aptitude for equipment software. This is a full-time position, with regular work hours from Monday to Friday and a benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Packaging Equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in the field and in the shop

• Identifying and correcting hardware, electrical or software discrepancies

• Performing calibrations and tune up, including pre-delivery inspections and integration projects

• Assisting Engineering and Production with wiring, control panel assembly and other assignments

• Working closely with the Service Coordinator to schedule and close service calls

• Following proper safety procedures and practices at all times

• Keeping clear documentation on all service calls, parts and expenses

• Maintaining tools, parts, diagnostic equipment, and service van in working and organized state

• Ensuring customer satisfaction by completing work on time and aiming for first-call resolution

• Staying current with packaging equipment technology and participate in training

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma in Electro-Mechanical or comparable direct job experience

• 2-4 years’ experience in skilled technical support

• Mechanical, electrical and software aptitude

• Physical capability to perform the job and lift up to 50lb

• Excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving and attention to detail

• Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel if needed

• Valid Forklift license is an asset
