Field Production Coordinator – Aluminum SidingLocation: Toronto, ON (and west GTA)
Salary: $55k-$75k based on experience
Our client is a well-established 100+ year old Toronto roofing company with both commercial and residential customers across the GTA. They currently have an immediate need for an Aluminum Siding Field Production Coordinator to liaise between their clients and production. The main focus will be on new construction.
About This RoleThe basic function of the Field Production Coordinator is to ensure the smooth operation and timely completion of all Aluminum and siding work issued to the production department. The Field Production Coordinator shall ensure that the proper resources are delivered and readily available to the Site Coordinators on the job site to facilitate the timely and quality completion of all work, done in a safe manner. Establish lasting relationships with applicators and customers. The regular hours of work will be 7:00am – 4:00pm Monday-Friday.
Reporting RelationshipsReports to: Operations Manager
Reporting to this position: All sub-contractors in his/her geographic area.
Responsibilities and Duties- Review all work orders for their geographic area, ensuring the information is correct and complete, including description of work required in detail, type of materials, colour of materials, etc.
- Ensure that all materials required to complete the job have been ordered and are available when the work is issued to a crew.
- Schedule work, contact the customer, and assign the crew. Notify the customer of the approximate start date when the contract is received. Update the customer on a regular basis.
- Conduct regular site visits to manage the crews, ensuring that workmanship is up to company standards.
- Inspect work during installation to ensure proper fall protection is in place and the crew is following all safety procedures.
- Follow up with customer and crew regarding any extras that may be required on the job.
- Track all extras to ensure they are documented and invoiced.
- Complete a final inspection of each site to ensure that all work is complete and materials and equipment have been removed.
- Verify crew pay sheets, track and notify the Operations Manager regarding contract discrepancies.
- Arrange pick up of extra material and delivery of shortages to the job site.
- Work with the Operations Manager to implement and coordinate company policies.
- Maintain awareness of new product developments and installation techniques in the roofing & aluminum industry.
- Promote the company’s roofing image through sound and ethical business practices.
- Attend mandatory on-site safety meetings and monthly production meetings.

Job Requirements- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: University Degree or College Diploma.
- Mathematics; must be able to perform routine arithmetic calculations.
- Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
Experience RequiredRequired: 3-5 years work experience in a related construction trade.
Preferred: 3-5 years work experience in the residential siding industry.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:- Ability to learn and understand production related to roofing and aluminum.
- Ability to think creatively regarding production problems or opportunities.
- Ability to relate to customer needs and analyze data to spot trends and opportunities.
Physical RequirementsMust be capable of heavy lifting (50 lbs).
Working Conditions:Work will be done both in a climate-controlled office area and in the field in all weather conditions. There may be travel by vehicle that will involve routine traffic hazards.
Measurements of Performance:- Perform all duties and responsibilities on time and satisfactorily.
- Achieve all production targets and safety audits.
- Ensure all orders are timely and accurate.
- Prepare and return all reports to the Warehouse Coordinator and/or General Manager on due date.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data and analyses.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
