Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Field Engineer (Saudi National) to join our team! In this role you will get to ensure the successful execution of construction projects by providing technical support, overseeing site operations, and ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. This position requires a strong engineering background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with various project stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Site Supervision and Coordination:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor and manage the progress of construction work, addressing any challenges or delays that may arise.
- Technical Support and Problem-Solving:
- Provide technical guidance and support to on-site teams, including contractors and subcontractors, to ensure all work meets required engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise on-site, ensuring that work proceeds smoothly and safely.
- Ensure that all engineering decisions on-site are made in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on construction work to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.
- Identify areas where quality can be improved, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on quality control findings and inspections.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all on-site activities comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
- Assist in the enforcement of site safety procedures and ensure that all personnel follow the necessary protocols.
- Project Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, site progress, and issues encountered on-site.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports, including progress updates, cost control reports, and safety reports.
- Communicate effectively with project management teams regarding the status of work, materials, and any challenges faced on-site.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and quality control, to ensure the efficient execution of the project.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements are met.
- Participate in regular meetings with the project team to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Education: A degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Relevant engineering certifications are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Field Engineer or in a similar on-site engineering role.
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with construction methodologies and engineering designs.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, materials, and project specifications.
- Familiarity with engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project) is desirable.
- Ability to identify and resolve technical issues on-site efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
- Certification in health and safety (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) is a plus.
- Experience with large-scale construction projects or complex engineering systems.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of construction quality control and assurance practices.
