Minimum Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots
• Livestock combination farming experience

Work Setting

• Rural area
• Staff accommodation available

Tasks

• Diagnose livestock health issues
• Handle animals
• Monitor animal health
• Organize tasks to accomplish the work
• Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly
• Maintain livestock performance records
• Select livestock for sale
• Maintain work records and logs
• Hire and train staff
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment

Supervision

• Supervise 5-10 people
