Job Description:
The Yorkton Tribal Council Child & Family Services Inc. is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Family Advocate Supervisor, located in the City of Regina. Under the supervision of the Family Advocate Manager, the supervisor will provide a holistic approach to the wellness of the child, the family, and the community that is based on First Nations culture, traditions, and practices. Responsibilities include providing direct supervision for the Family Advocates, coordinating case planning, and service support for children, parents, and family members to assess and plan for cultural and professional interventions with families in conjunction with Knowledge Keepers and Member Nations programs/services including Yellow Thunderbird Lodge Family Support Services.
Minimum Qualifications:
*Must possess a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indian Social Work OR a four-year University undergraduate degree in a related discipline with demonstrated direct child protection service experience OR Certificate in SW OR NTSW and demonstrated child protection service experience.
Professional knowledge in FSIN Family Support Act, Saskatchewan Child and Family Services Act, Child Abuse Protocol, Jordan's Principle, First Nations Laws, Customs and Protocols, United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, Social Work Code of Ethics, Ministry of Social Services Children's Service Manual, and Structured Decision Making is required.
