Why This Role is Open:
We are seeking a seasoned Facilities Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of our portfolio of institutional buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional facilities management services.
Responsibilities:
- Facility Operations:
- Oversee daily operations, including cleaning, security, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans.
- Manage facility budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Maintenance Management:
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Work with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and quality service.
- Manage maintenance budgets and track expenses.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess potential risks to facility operations.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Tenant Relations:
- Respond to tenant requests and concerns in a timely manner.
- Manage tenant relations and resolve issues.
- Sustainability:
- Implement sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact and improve energy efficiency.
- Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for savings.
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably in institutional settings.
- Strong understanding of building systems and maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Certifications in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA CFM)
- Experience with LEED or other sustainability certifications.
