Facilities Interior Designer
As part of our commitment to achieving World Class Manufacturing, the Facilities Interior Designer is responsible for assisting the Construction Team with facilitating a pleasant and functional workplace for Price employees and visitors. The Facility Interior Designer’s primary focus is to provide support for our Construction Manager, Facilities Designer & Supply Chain Manager. Success will be measured using the metrics: (1) Ability to meet deadlines and key deliverables (2) Ability to collaborate on a team and work independently (3) Ability to present value-focused solutions that align with the design intent, budget and schedule (4) Accuracy of work produced.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Price Construction Team to deliver cost-effective workplace design solutions.
- Prepare layouts for interior space planning.
- Assist with materials selection, furniture selection and construction specifications.
- Prepare conceptual presentation documents for interior space planning and FFE selections.
- Coordinate drawings with external Consultants.
- Assist in reviewing construction documents prior to Tender.
- Assist in shop drawing reviews.
- Research & source furniture suppliers to evaluate options, provide recommendations & cost estimates.
- Assist with the documentation of room data and stakeholder requirements.
- Organize & maintain an updated finishes samples library and ensure accuracy in records.
- Facilitate sample pickup and drop-off logistics for seamless project execution.
- Document accurate site measurements when required.
- Coordinate and schedule selections meetings with suppliers.
- Coordinate construction projects with contractors.
- Assist the Construction team with creating project specifications.
- Scan the building to create 3D models used for future renovations.
- Other duties as assigned/required.
Qualifications
- An Interior Design Degree from a CIDA accredited institution.
- 2+ years of commercial design experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and MS Excel.
- Proficiency in REVIT and other CAD software in addition to the above is an asset.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated design ability with a cost & value driven approach to design.
- Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings, documents, and schedules.
- Ability to work in both metric and imperial measurement systems.
- Strong verbal, written & visual communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects based on evolving schedules & business needs.
- Ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment and provide value-add initiatives to the team when project pace is slower.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with Price teams and external consultants.
- Knowledge of commercial interior design standards and building codes is an asset.

- Drivers License.
- Vehicle required to access building sites and supplier places of business.
