Experienced Construction Estimator for Public Works Contractor

Spec Construction Co., Inc. seeks an experienced Construction Estimator to drive business growth through efficient estimating processes.

Our ideal candidate will be:

• Familiar with Public Works Projects and the bidding process
• Self-Motivated to find projects up for bid
• An expert in general construction
• Experienced in estimating school / college jobs

The duties and responsibilities include:

• Assess and analyze blueprints, plans, and other project documents to prepare cost estimates
• Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, and location
• Work closely with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure comprehensive cost estimation
• Use software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
• Prepare detailed bids for project procurement
• Keep track of the latest industry trends and advancements
• Coordinate with team members on work progress and cost reporting
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors
