Experienced Concierge Security Guard - $23

Regal Security Inc. is currently seeking a Full Time Security Guard for one of the most luxurious condominiums in the Toronto, ON area.

Qualifications:

1. A proven background with a minimum of 2 years security experience in a commercial/residential setting. This is a mandatory requirement.
2. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
3. Use of Force Certification training must be passed by all new hires.
4. A University degree and/or College diploma in a relevant field (Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigation, Criminology, etc.)
5. Valid Security Guard Licence, Valid First Aid/CPR Certification & AED Certification
6. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
7. Strong investigation, research, and strategic analytical skills.
8. Strong administration, project management, and multi-tasking skills.
9. Adapts well to challenges and works well under pressure.
10. Computer literacy and proficiency required, strong working skills with iOS, Windows Devices, Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Google Software with good working skills in Apple products.

Compensation:

1. Pay rate will be up to $23 an hour based on site requirements.
2. Possible overtime with overtime pay.
3. Health benefits are available for full-time employees upon completion of 3 months probation.

The Ideal Candidate must have:

1. Full-time availability to work all days of the week and schedules that will consist of days, afternoons, and weekend shifts – including holidays.
2. Customer service-driven individual.
3. Clear English communication skills in all areas (verbal and written).
4. Detailed and thorough record-keeping (Memo book, incident reports, etc.).
5. Keen observation and attentiveness.
6. Professional physical deportment and presentation.
7. Decision making, reliable, common sense, and exceptional judgment.
8. Able to work as a team member and assist in leading other team members accordingly.
9. Firm understanding of the Trespass to Property Act and Criminal Code of Canada.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide outstanding and personalized customer service as a front-line representative of Regal Security.
2. Assist in maintaining up-to-date training, while providing motivation and mentoring to the site security team while ensuring all staff are meeting company standards.
3. Provide input to maintain up-to-date policies, manuals, and plans for the site.
4. Operate Regal patrol vehicle for the purposes of exterior site and parking patrolling and for vehicle fuel up and maintenance.
5. Report all incidents, onsite activities, interactions, and service challenges to the Security Manager.
6. Ensure all site staff are properly trained on site protocols and ensure training documentation is completed.
7. Evaluate and oversee employee performance and coach as necessary, reporting any infractions and/or performance issues to the Security Manager.
8. Review daily and incident reports for compliance with spelling, grammar, and details for submission to client and Regal Security.
9. Develop and maintain a positive professional relationship with tenants, customers, emergency services, and other agencies as they relate to the site.
10. Assist accordingly with building and maintaining the site security team schedule.
11. Operate and maintain an organized, professional environment.
12. Enforce property rules and regulations, including the Trespass to Property Act, in order to maintain the security and safety of our clients and their assets.
13. Oversee the logging in and out of site equipment.
14. Actively monitor CCTV, fire systems, and access systems.
15. Respond to all emergency situations (service calls, medical emergencies, building situations, etc.).
16. Ensure that safety and emergency protocols are completed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies.
17. Complete walking patrols, vehicle patrols, and inspections of facilities and equipment and report any hazards, deficiencies, etc. to ensure safety and security.
18. Review, understand, and follow post orders as identified for the represented site.
19. Maintain a safe working environment and follow the facilities health and safety procedures.
20. Duties as otherwise assigned by the Security Manager/Senior Management Team.
