Description

Our client is one of the biggest insurance carriers and is looking for an Executive Underwriter to join their team in Vancouver. If you are a seasoned underwriter looking for the next step in your career, please check out this role.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for maintaining a profitable book of business within the underwriting authority.
• Involved in ensuring that renewals, endorsements, and cancellations are within guidelines and set standards.
• Maintain good relationships with brokers to ensure retention and growth of business.
• Analyze new market trends, understand and implement company procedures, and develop new opportunities for expansion.
• Mentor junior underwriters.
• Provide support to managers and assist in developing additional guidelines.

What we are looking for:

• Must have at least 10 years of commercial underwriting experience.
• Experience in handling mid to large complex risks.
• Great communication skills and ability to build broker relationships.

Salary: Between 100,000 to 125,000
