The voco Amritsar is located approximately 11.6 kilometers (7.2 miles) from the Golden Temple and 13 kilometers (8.0 miles) from Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport.

With 139 well-appointed rooms, the hotel offers full-service F&B outlets including an All-Day Dining restaurant (90 covers), Lobby Lounge (30 covers), and Bar (60 covers), along with 24-hour Room Service. Our meetings and events space accommodates up to 500 guests, supported by additional leisure and wellness facilities such as a Health Club, Swimming Pool, and a boutique Spa.

As a part of management committee member, you shall be responsible to drive success for voco Amritsar.

What is the job?

As Housekeeping Manager, you will lead and manage the housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the property. This includes guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and laundry operations. You will oversee team training, inventory control, cost management, and uphold brand standards to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with a strong sense of leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for excellence in cleanliness and service.

Your day to day

People

1. Direct daily activities, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers
2. Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues - recognise good performance
3. Educate and train all team members in compliance with federal, state and local laws and safety regulations. Ensure staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment to carry out job duties
4. May assist with deep cleaning projects and/or assist housekeeping staff during high volume periods

Guest Experience

1. Make sure the quality of housekeeping and laundry services is always superb - we have standards - but it’s down to you to make rooms special and memorable for guests
2. Schedule routine inspections of all guest rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, rooms, equipment, linens, public restrooms, lobby, etc. are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction
3. Carry out special requests from guests, VIPs, repeat visitors and club members
4. Help guests with their questions and complaints to achieve complete guest satisfaction
5. Look smart - wear your uniform with pride

Responsible Business

1. Maintain and order supplies and equipment whilst minimising waste and maintaining “green” initiatives (example: container recycling, and cleaning agents)
2. Reunite items with owners - and log any lost and found property
3. Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as manager on duty
4. Help prepare and monitor the hotel’s annual budget with a focus on increasing profitability
5. Maintain proper inventory levels managing cost per room for supplies and labour

What we need from you

1. High School Diploma / secondary education / equivalent
2. Four years' housekeeping/laundry experience preferably in a hotel of similar size, including supervisory experience. Some college preferred
3. Must be fluent in local language and other languages preferred
