Summary:

The Executive Director of Health Disparities & Quality Improvement for the Community Health and Engagement Department is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of quality improvement and strategic initiatives to address health disparities challenges within healthcare. This position requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of healthcare services delivery, experience in consulting or project management within the healthcare sector, and the ability to analyze data and use it to drive decision-making to include forecasting and organizational goal development.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership and Program Development - Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to address health disparities. Lead the design and execution of innovative programs and patient-level interventions to mitigate health disparities and improve patient outcomes. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community organizations, academic institutions, and government agencies. Provide strategic guidance and leadership for health disparities special initiatives and programs.
  • Data Analysis and Performance Management - Oversee the management and analysis of community health and healthcare data to identify disparities, track program effectiveness, and inform decision-making. Develop and implement robust analytics frameworks to monitor key performance indicators related to health disparities. Utilize data insights to forecast trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop organizational goals. Generate comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate data findings and program outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Quality Improvement and Consulting - Lead and oversee consulting projects related to community health initiatives, providing expert guidance and support to internal and external partners. Drive the implementation of evidence-based quality improvement methodologies to enhance patient care and reduce disparities. Evaluate the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives related to health disparities and recommend strategies for continuous improvement. Ensure alignment of efforts with national standards and best practices.

Other Information

Education Requirements:
● Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, Social Work or other related health degree with experience in healthcare, public health or other allied health profession.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● None required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Requires ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience and seven (7) years of management experience in a large and complex organization and experience with leading health disparity initiatives.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team and drive strategic initiatives. Experience in consulting or project management in the healthcare or public health sector. Ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to address community health challenges. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to inform decision-making. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Possess a high level of understanding of the social determinants of health with the ability to develop impactful patient-level interventions that target the underlying factors.
