Standard Hours Bi-weekly: 75

Classification: AR10

Salary: $71,322.00 - $82,549.00

Union: CON

Days Off: Saturday/Sunday

Travel: 10%

We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our team as the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Minister, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting the leadership of the Department of Highways & Public Works. This position will manage the DM’s office, coordinate communications, and act as a key liaison with government and external partners, while maintaining positive relationships across organizations. If you excel in a fast-paced, high-profile environment and have exceptional organizational and communication skills, we encourage you to apply!

  • Experience providing executive administrative support to senior leaders, such as managing schedules, coordinating communications, and handling confidential information.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and editing high-level documents including briefing notes, reports, and official correspondence.
  • Experience acting as the point of contact between senior leadership, government officials, and external stakeholders.
  • Post-secondary coursework in office administration, business, or a related field would be considered an asset.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders, government officials, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, take proactive action, and adapt to shifting priorities and emerging issues.
