Job description

We’re a growing e-commerce company based in Toronto, selling high-quality products directly to customers across North America. With a small but mighty team of 8, we move fast, stay curious, and value kindness, ownership, and getting things done. Now, we’re looking for a sharp, proactive, and driven individual to become the founder’s right hand—learning the business from the inside out and eventually stepping into a leadership role.

About the Role :

This is not a typical assistant job. You’ll work directly with the founder, learn how every part of the business works, and gradually take over the day-to-day operations, team coordination, and internal execution. You’ll help us stay organized, efficient, and focused while also playing a key role in product research, vendor management, and team support.

Key Responsibilities :

Executive Support (30%)

  1. Manage the founder’s calendar, priorities, email, and communications
  2. Prepare reports, meeting notes, and follow-ups
  3. Act as a gatekeeper and bridge between the founder and the team
  4. Take ownership of recurring tasks and personal executive projects

Business Operations (50%)

  1. Learn and document all core business functions (fulfillment, customer support, product flow, vendor coordination, etc.)
  2. Work with suppliers, 3PLs, and service providers to ensure smooth operations
  3. Track KPIs, manage internal dashboards, and keep things moving on schedule
  4. Help manage day-to-day team tasks, priorities, and check-ins
  5. Improve internal systems, tools, and SOPs for scale

Product & Growth (20%)

  1. Assist in researching new product ideas and suppliers
  2. Help organize product testing, packaging, and launch plans
  3. Coordinate with marketing, design, and customer service for go-to-market execution
  4. Brainstorm ways to improve customer experience and retention

What We’re Looking For :

  1. 1–4 years experience in operations, executive assistance, or startup environments
  2. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  3. High attention to detail and follow-through
  4. Great written and verbal communication
  5. Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable learning new tools (Shopify, Notion, G Suite, etc.)
  6. Interested in e-commerce and business strategy
  7. Hungry to grow into a leadership role over time

Bonus If You Have :

  1. Experience in e-commerce, Shopify, logistics, Shipstation, Front (preferred)
  2. Exposure to working directly with founders or small teams
  3. Skills in spreadsheets, automation tools, or project management platforms
