We’re pleased to partner with our client, an award-winning manufacturing company, in their search for an Events Specialist. The right person for the role is experienced in leading the concept, design and delivery of corporate events and tradeshows, is proactive and solutions-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic environment.

About the workplace

This is an in-office role that requires working full-time in their Edmonton, AB office.

About the role

  • Collaborate with internal departments in the creative design of tradeshow and events that align with corporate strategies.
  • Develop and execute strategy, including site/booth selection, creative concepts, floor plans, booth builds, budgets, promotional materials, and post event analysis and reporting.
  • Manage logistics for the delivery of all corporate tradeshow and events, including engagement of internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Develop and manage budgets for all related event and tradeshow expenditures.
  • Develop and manage annual tradeshow and events calendar and planning activities.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders and agencies on site selection, design concepts, execution, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with internal committees on the delivery of employee-related events.
  • Arrange all photography and videography needs with external vendors.
  • Analyze and report on events, identifying successes and areas for improvement.
  • Plan, order, distribute, and manage inventory of all corporate promotional items.
  • Collaborate with internal departments on strategies and needs for promotional items.
  • Source innovative promotional items, suppliers, purchase negotiations, and production management.

About you

  • 5+ years’ experience in the creation and execution of corporate tradeshows and events.
  • Degree in project management, event management, communications, or business. (An equivalent mix of education and experience will be considered.)
  • Proven experience in corporate event strategy, creative, budgeting, execution, and post-event evaluation.
  • Highly organized and proactive, with superior communication, time management, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Able to deliver superior results working under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Innovative and creative, current on new trends in the event industry.
  • Basic photography and/or videography skills.
  • Experience in a construction or manufacturing setting is an asset.

The salary range for this role is $65,000 – $75,000 and includes extended benefits, two weeks of paid vacation, and more.
