The Glencoe Club is seeking a dedicated Events Services Supervisor to join our exceptional team. This full-time position plays a pivotal role in delivering a diverse range of high-caliber events, ensuring flawless execution from concept to completion across events at the Glencoe Club and the Glencoe Golf & Country Club. Responsibilities
- Provide detailed guidance and leadership to Event Coordinators across the Glencoe Club and The Glencoe Golf and Country Club
- Act as the primary point of contact for all event-related inquiries and bookings
- Oversee the planning and execution of events within both your portfolio and your staffs’, ensuring seamless coordination and successful delivery
- Deliver service excellence by providing a personalized, professional and seamless experience to clients
- Oversee marketing and communication efforts related to events
- Negotiate vendor contracts for entertainment, décor, floral arrangements, and other event needs
- Research and implement industry trends to enhance event offerings and elevate member experiences
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities by networking, building strategic partnerships, and engaging with potential clients to expand event offerings and revenue growth
Qualifications- Proven track record of at least 5 years in an event planning leadership capacity
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, or Business
- Demonstrated experience managing the planning, delivery and execution of events to the highest degree of service excellence
- Proven ability to enhance team performance, through mentorship, effective organization and training
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with confidence to create and implement new processes and systems to elevate events
- Strong leadership skills focused on inspiring employees to deliver exceptional experiences
- Ability to influence progress through cooperation, conflict resolution, and facilitation
- Previous experience working with BirchStreet and Northstar is considered a strong asset
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Additional DetailsThis is a full-time salaried position that reports to the Glencoe Club Food & Beverage Manager with secondary coordination and communication to the Glencoe Golf & Country Club Food & Beverage Manager to ensure seamless event execution across both locations.
The successful candidate will require reliable transportation between both clubs and may be required to work a variety of shifts on occasion including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays based on the nature of the business.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace and certification prior to commencing employment.
